Personal Thoughts
This had been sitting around in my WIPs folder for a long time, and the organizer in me demanded that I either finish it or trash it. Well, I finished it, and liked it so much that I decided to dedicate it to *wolverine041269, who had refused my offer of making a custom manipulation for his donation. (Yes, I'm still dedicating this to you whether you want me to or not! xD)

About the Work
I wanted a more mystic and quiet feeling with this one, hence the added fog and mist under the waterfall. Also, I just HAD to put the pool there, since it makes it more interesting, doesn't it? It reminds me so much of a Portal hole... :P And can you see the other creature quietly watching from the sidelines? :XD:

The imagery is beautiful. I particularly like how you've balanced the images left/right, top/bottom. You mentioned that you were not completely happy with the overall blending. The wolf stands in a patch of relatively high grass, but somehow the blades of grass under the pegasus' hooves never come up above the edge of the hoof. It makes him appear more "cut-out" than need be. You might also try softening the outlines of the horse body - particularly the wings and head. Apply a 50% blur with a soft brush around the edges and see how that looks.

The waterfall and water tumbling over the rocks shows a great deal of motion, but where does the water go? There is no connection to the pool. It just seems to stop at the edge of the grass. It needs to continue either to the foreground, or out the side in a stream behind one of the animals (Or both if you want a split stream).

The pool is perfectly round - it is the only completely geometric object in the image. You might consider making it the focal point by highlighting the rim/ring around it, or make the surface of the pool/portal water glow somewhat. It looks as if there is light shining on the horse's chest, and this could easily come from the pool or the rim if one or the other was glowing.

The image here is very lovely, and I really like the mistiness. Very nice work!
